Initiative for Maximizing Student Development (IMSD) Program
The goal of the IMSD Program is to increase the number of students from underrepresented groups who enter and successfully complete PhD degree programs in biomedical fields. The program aims to provide students with research opportunities, mentoring, and other outstanding preparation so that they can advance to and excel in biomedical research careers.
The following materials must accompany this application:
- Resume/CV must include:
- List any honors, awards, or special recognitions you have received
- List any community or national organizations in which you participate
- List any present or past programs or extracurricular activities you have participated in. Focus on science-related academic enrichment, science exposure, or research experience
- Significant work experience
- Your college transcript(s)
- Contact information from two recommenders, preferably from professors in the sciences or math
